Problem
Universal Electric Corporation had the challenge of keeping their national sales force update-to-date on the status of orders and shipments for their customers. The current processes to distribute this information were manual, time intensive, prone to error, and had an inherent time lag in getting information out.
Solution
Ectobox built a solution using Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, and the client’s current accounting and sales management software systems. This new solution obtained pertinent order and shipment information from the accounting software and emailed reports to all sales people on a daily and monthly basis.
Result
This Pittsburgh client declared the solution as a huge success. Significant work on other solutions are in the works (such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM) or have since been completed.
